WOLLONGONG Lions will be gunning for their second win of the season to complete the home and away double over North Shore Bombers in this afternoon's Sydney AFL clash at Gore Hill Oval.
The Lions' only win of 2008 was over the Bombers in round three at North Dalton Park.Today's clash is the final away game of the season for Wollongong, who finish a disappointing season at home to fellow strugglers Campbelltown next Saturday night. After struggling in the first half of the season the Bombers have stormed into finals contention. The Bombers will be boosted by the return of skipper Mark Livy, who earlier this season announced his retirement. While Livy is sure to strengthen the Bombers, the Lions welcome back midfielder Michael Dombroski, who missed last weekend's loss to East Coast Eagles. In other round 17 games, St George host Sydney Uni, Campbelltown are at home to Uni of NSW, Wests host Balmain Dockers, while leaders Pennant Hills host East Coast.
